VK has finally revealed the new
flavour that’s set to join the likes of Blue, Tropical Fruits and Orange & Passion Fruit at bars and clubs across the country.
And as we enter the last few days (boo!) of what has been an undeniably glorious summer, we think this new flavour might be just what we need to keep the sunshine vibes going a little bit longer.
So what did the good people of the UK choose as their newest VK flavour?
The new VK has the delightfully refreshing taste of… drum roll please… Watermelon.
We told you it’d keep the summer going!
A nationwide public search for a new flavour reached over six million consumers across the summer, with Watermelon beating the likes of Violet and Wild Fruits to be crowned the champ.
With pink drinks set to be the most Instagrammable beverage of 2019, we think this is probably going to be our go-to drink for a long time.
The public put forward more than 33,000 flavour suggestions when the competition opened in June, before the four most popular flavours were voted on in July.
Reality TV influencers then represented each of the final four flavours. Watermelon was championed by Love Island 2017’s Sam Gowland, Raspberry and Pineapple by Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry, Violet by The Valleys’ Lateysha Grace, and Wild Fruits by Ex On The Beach’s Josh Ritchie.
With over 35,000 votes cast across social media and the VK official website, Watermelon received over 19,000.
You can officially get your hands on the new Watermelon flavour from February 2019.
However, if you’re heading to a Deltic nightclub in November, you could be one of the selected few to get an exclusive first taste of the new Watermelon flavour with a sampling and consumer engagement tour.
The popular VK mixed 10 pack is currently on the 3 for £21 deal in Asda stores (normally £10 per pack!) and online – grab a bargain now!
