The UK’s biggest chilli festival returns this weekend with a schedule that’s bursting with hot chilli tasting, cooking demonstrations, Latin music, flamenco dancing and more.
West Dean’s Chilli Fiesta is now in its 23rd year. Running from 10-12 August, the festival is bringing a taste of spice to the picturesque grounds of West Dean Estate in West Sussex.

As well as a range of food and drink stalls, the festival will also have cocktail and champagne bars. A highlight of the schedule is the drink-making demonstration by food writer, photographer and gardener Mark Diacono; it will focus on garden cocktails and will include tasters.
Among the chefs leading cooking demonstrations is Giles Thompson, the Owner and Executive Chef of the Earl of March and former Executive Head Chef of the Ritz Hotel. He will host the Cookery Theatre and lead the Chilli Fiesta’s ‘Ready, Steady, Cook…’ – a show that will feature Strictly Come Dancing winner, Joe McFadden.
