Pret’s Christmas drinks
Pret added three festive drinks on its Christmas menu. Let’s begin with a classic, that can also be found in Costa’s festive beverage:
Mint Hot Chocolate (278 kcal per serving):
Meet again the usual organic hot chocolate with a shot of mint syrup, which you could top up with a delicious whipped cream to get the whole Christmas experience.
Mint Mocha (220 kcal per serving):
A sweet combination of organic coffee, chocolate steamed up with milk and some mint will suit those in need of a stronger dash of energy in the morning.
Possibly the most intriguing drink on the menu, the usual Pret’s Flat White gives the real taste to Christmas with their own mince pie syrup. For the coffee addicts, this is the BEST morning drink for the end of the year festivities.
Pret’s Christmas food
In terms of sugary treats, Pret added three new pearls to its menu that everyone should taste ahead of Christmas.
Traditional Mince Pie (315 kcal per serving):
From the traditional British recipe, the filling was made back in July and the pie in itself was handmade in Yorkshire. Sounds delicious right ?
Christmas Tiffin (410 kcal per serving):
This one looks like the ultimate Christmas treat. Indeed, gingerbread, cranberries, chocolate and hint of orange flavour, all united in one. Also topped with pistachio, white chocolate and cranberries to add more crunch.
Christmas Muffin (465 kcal per serving):
Cranberries, currants, orange zest and almond give some Christmas flavours at some soft and sweet muffins. Don’t forget the sparkling icing sugar to get it a more festive look. It's already getting a lot of popularity !
Melvin, the (Cutest) Gingerbread (257 kcal per serving):
Prefer a treat on the go ? Melvin, the melting snowman gingerbread is back and should do the trick with its marshmallow head. Yet, Melvin is so cute that it can become difficult to eat him.
Not much of a sweet tooth ? Then try one of their many sandwiches !
Butternut Squash, Wensleydale & Cranberry Baguette (540 kcal per serving):
The new vegetarian sandwich with roasted butternut squash, Wensleydale, its own cranberry crumble, rocket, crispy onions and some pistachios all topped up with an orange cranberry sauce.
Brie and Cranberry (579 kcal per serving):
The perfect Christmas sandwich for cheese lover with the delicate slice of French brie cheese, wild rocket, pistachios topped with an orange and cranberry sauce.
Smoked Salmon, Soft Cheese & Dill Baguette (453 kcal per serving):
A classic Christmas classic according to Pret, the sandwich is filled with Scottish smoked salmon, creamy soft cheese, black pepper, lemon juice and fresh dill.
Ham Hock, Stuffing & Apple Baguette (596 kcal per serving):
This is the most christmassy sandwich ever. This baguette filled with shredded ham hock, mustard mayonnaise, crispy onions, watercress and Pret’s own stuffing made with minced pork, streaky beacon and apricots, all recovered with a generous and tasty apple sauce.
Festive Christmas Salad (228 kcal per serving):
For those still trying to stay healthy just before starting the holiday’s celebrations, but still don’t want to miss out on all these delicious Christmas inspired food, the festive salad is the best option. Made with sprout, apple slaw, butternut squash, broccoli and spinach, this salad is topped with Pret’s Wensleydale and cranberry crumble and caramelised pecans with pomegranate seeds.
Veggie Christmas Lunch (531 kcal per serving):
The vegetarian Christmas lunch is back. A malted bread sandwich stuffed with roasted chunks of butternut squash, nutty pesto, spicy rocket, dressed with yoghurt and mayonnaise with some crispy onions.
Christmas Lunch (482 kcal per serving):
Same as last year, this star malted bread sandwich is stuffed with slices of Norfolk free-range turkey breasts, tart port, Pret’s minced pork, streaky beacon and apricots stuffing, crispy onions, fresh baby spinach all topped up by the Pret’s signature orange and cranberry sauce.
Very Merry Christmas Lunch (523 kcal per serving):
The vegan Christmas option with grilled carrots, baby spinach and crispy onions in a sandwich dressed with caramelised pecans and the orange cranberry sauce for a festive flavour.
Again, Pret’s menu does not disappoint and offers a large variety of food options with some decent vegetarian options.
