Written and directed by the writer of the controversial Iron Man 3 (2013) Drew Pierce, Hotel Artemis sports a star-studded cast playing a host of criminals who frequent an underground emergency room in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles.

Here’s a look at the many famous faces of L.A. that populate the film:

Jodie Foster is The Nurse

An actress whose career needs no introduction, Foster has been acting since she was seven years old. From Tallulah in Bugsy Malone (1976) to Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs (1991), she’s no stranger to iconic roles. The Nurse promises to be the eye in this hurricane of a film!

Sterling K. Brown is The Bank Robber

We’re excited to see Brown’s character Waikiki dominate the screen after the amazing year he’s had. After piercing our hearts as Killmonger’s father N’Jobu in Black Panther (2018) and winning an Emmy for his outstanding role in This Is Us, he’s sure to bring some serious acting chops to the table.

Sofia Boutella is The Contract Killer

Breakout star of Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) as Samuel L. Jackson’s ass-kicking sidekick, Boutella went on to scene-steal in Star Trek Beyond (2016) and Atomic Blonde (2017), as well as starring as the titular role in The Mummy (2017). After a dystopian stint in HBO’s Fahrenheit 451 adaptation, a contract killer called Nice is right up her alley, and we’re excited to see what new ways she kills people in Hotel Artemis!

Jeff Goldblum is The Wolf King

Another absolute icon gracing our screens and fresh off the huge successes of Thor: Ragnarök (2017), Isle of Dogs (2018) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), Goldblum’s presence in this film is sure to shake things up. We’re desperate to know why his character Niagara has the title The Wolf King!

Brian Tyree Henry is The Jewel Thief

Possibly the busiest man in the industry right now, Henry is in all this year’s coolest projects: of course Atlanta, Lobby Hero on Broadway alongside Chris Evans and Michael Cera, Steve Mcqueen’s upcoming thriller Widows (2018), White Boy Rick (2018), and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) … and of course Hotel Artemis, as jewel thief Honolulu.

Jenny Slate is The Cop

Known for her role as Mona-Lisa in Parks and Recreation, and for voicing cartoon animals in the likes of Zootopia (2016) and The Secret Life of Pets (2016), Slate’s upcoming roles include a journalist in Venom (2018), and cop Morgan in Hotel Artemis. Will Morgan be a cop chasing down the criminals, or one on their side? We’ll have to wait and see.

Zachary Quinto is The Daddy’s Boy

Also taking a stint on Broadway, this time in The Boys in the Band, Sofia Boutella’s Star Trek co-star Quinto is ditching the Spock eyebrows and returning to his normal Heroes serial killer eyebrows to play daddy’s boy Crosby Franklin.

Charlie Day is The Arms Dealer

From It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to his cult-celebrated role in the Pacific Rim franchise, Day’s particular arsenal of humour should bring an unexpected twist to the film in the form of his character, Acapulco.

Dave Bautista is The Orderly

Ex-pro wrestler Bautista is best known for his role as Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)’s Drax, and he’s also had roles in Spectre (2015) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017). His WWE background makes him perfect to play the colossal orderly Everest, whose muscle we’re sure comes in handy when dealing with the patients at Hotel Artemis!

Alongside this bunch, Father John Misty aka Josh Tillman and Captain America's Kenneth Choi also star in what’s sure to be an explosive and stylistic crime thriller.

Hotel Artemis arrives in UK cinemas on July 20th, distributed by Warner Bros.
