So it’s Valentine’s Day and you don’t have a Valentine.  Not to worry; we’ve compiled a list of some of the best snuggly items on the internet right now for you to cosy up with this February 14th.  After all, nothing says “true love” like a fabulous new coat.

If staying in isn’t really your thing but you still crave the warm fuzzy touch of your favourite loungewear, this bucket hat is for you. Mustard yellow is currently experiencing something of a renaissance in popularity, so pop this on your head and you're sure to turn others’.

 Faux fur jacket – Weekday

Unfortunately, as much as you’d like to, it’s not quite socially acceptable to leave the house in your dressing gown. This jacket, however, is most definitely suited to being worn out and about. Pair it with jeans, trainers, and a turtleneck in the day or with a mini dress and heels in the evening for a look that’s as fashionable as it is practical. Our parents will be thrilled!

Metallic ski suit – ASOS

Maybe a ski suit is a bit unnecessary for the UK, but should you find yourself in snowier surroundings this metallic number is a winner. Head straight from the slopes to the après in this; it’s basically a glamorous jumpsuit with built-in central heating.

Furry sleep mask – Oysho

Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for couples to take some time out from real-life responsibilities and put themselves first, but even if you don’t have a date it doesn’t mean you’re exempt from self-care duties.  Slip this wearable “do not disturb” sign on before you doze off and catch up on some all-important beauty sleep.

 Woolly cardigan - Arket

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day guide without a little splash of pink. Whilst we may associate big-buttoned woolly cardigans with primary school uniforms, there’s nothing childish about this knit; toughen it up with some leather trousers or slip it on over your fave cami dress to add a whimsical touch to an everyday look.

Pom-pom bobble hat – New Look

Berets may be the hat of choice in the city of love, but when it comes to staying cosy we prefer something a little less elegant. Whether you’re out and about in the cold winter weather or trying to keep warm inside a chilly student house, this hat is just the ticket (and can also hide a bad hair day too if necessary- it happens to the best of us).

Fleecy dressing gown – Marks and Spencer

If your alarm goes off on Thursday morning and the last thing you want to do is get out of bed, this dressing gown pretty much means you can take your bed with you. It might not be able to write your essay for you, but it’ll certainly make the process a bit comfier.

Woolly socks – Calzedonia

Sometimes university can be stressful and give you figurative cold feet, but at least with these you won’t have literal cold feet. They might just become the most indispensable part of your wardrobe; you can slip them on under your boots to shield your toes from the wintery streets or wear them as slippers when your housemate is too stingy to turn the heating on.
