Brandon created Deciem in Toronto, where it gained a following and launched the Ordinary, a skincare brand whose products cost mostly less than £15. Brandon had recently been ousted from Deciem after receiving negative publicity regarding some troubling messages on the company's Instagram - which alerted minority investor Estee Lauder.
