September marks the most exciting time of the year… fashion week season.  And, although we eagerly anticipate the shows themselves and finding out what all the SS19 trends will be, searching the street style on offer is truly where the excitement lies.

Kicking off with New York Fashion Week, here is a rundown of some of the coolest and chicest street style looks that graced the streets of New York last week.

1.Denisa Palsha - @modisteblog

This ensemble, for me, is exactly what fashion week should be all about.  It’s so fun and totally out there - I’m obsessed! A tailored look is such a winner in my eyes, and the clashing check prints work so well together, paired with a crisp white shirt.  The yellow shades and clear back with yet another clashing check inside just add to this… it’s all in the details.

2.  Leonie Hanne - @leoniehanne

From big and bold to more simple, this grey suit is a lot more basic but so effortlessly cool.  Paired with trainers and simple accessories, I love how little it takes for this look to look stylish.  The bumbag adding a pop of colour whilst also doubling as a belt effect is such a clever trick and, of course, so practical.

3. Vanessa Hong - @thehautepursuit

I doubt many people could make a bright yellow boiler suit-esque two piece look as chic as this, but Vanessa totally pulls it out the bag.  White mules and a sleek low bun hairdo are the perfect additions to this look. Altogether super simple, but such an on fire outfit.

4.  @jessicarhamel

Multicolour sequin stripes and street style are two phrases I wouldn’t typically put together, but this is such a look. The casual vest totally tones down the co-ord and the silver mules are simple enough not to take anything away from the sequins.

5. Emma Leger - @emmaleger

Emma Leger’s fashion week style was unreal every day, but this was a personal favourite.  This vintage Chanel military style suit is flawless, really simple and demure but super classy.  I love the fact she hasn’t tried to brighten the look up - chunky Balenciagas that are everywhere right now and simple sunglasses are literally all this needs.

6.   Jenn Lake - @jenniferlake

Another suit (sorry - I am obsessed!) that totally stole the show for me.  Warm crimson with a baroque pattern that screams autumnal vibes is perfect for this time of year.  Although the suit is amazing, her camera bag is my favourite thing about this - so fun and quirky.

7.  Paulina - @__popo_

The only word to sum up this look - chic.  A casual Harley Davidson jumper and a red skirt is such a basic and simple look but works really well.  The red boots, nails and lip add so much glamour to something otherwise really casual. Of course, a pair of little sunglasses and big earrings always do the trick in dressing up an outfit, too.
