20-year-old Huddersfield Law student Sara Iftekhar is the first contestant to compete in the infamous Miss England wearing a hijab.

Iftekhar, who reportedly began running her own clothing business at aged sixteen, hopes to win the crown in this year's competition which takes place at Kelham Hall, Nottingham tomorrow.

According to The Independent, Sara has created a GoFundMe page, where she wrote;

"I participated in Miss England 2018 in order to show that beauty doesn’t have a definition, everyone is beautiful in their own ways, regardless of their weight, race, colour or shape,” she wrote.
