Where there is tennis, there is also always the greatest showing of women’s style.

As Wimbledon 2018 returns to London on July 2-15, we are still fawning over these  six showcases of courtside style from over the years of the tennis tournament.

Which is your favourite Wimbolden look?

A golden silk dress and a Wimbledon winner at a Champions Dinner, has there ever been a better combination?  Make that 2012 Wimbledon queen Serena Williams, and the dress in question a Burberry, and we were always going to go a violent shade of green.

Denise Lewis - 2013

Olympic gold medalist, Denise Lewis, stole the show in 2013 with an ankle-cropped blue checked power suit.  Teamed with gold statement earrings and a white court shoe, Lewis’ Wimbledon getup elegantly screamed summer.  2013 Wimbledon Lewis’ will forever be our casual suit style muse.

Black and white checked turtleneck dress? Yes.  Black block heeled sandals embellished with contrasting orange straps? Yes. Floral headscarf and bag combination? Yes.  Guy Richie on our arm? Yes, yes, yes!  Brilliant, you must be Jacqui Ainsley from the courtside of Wimbledon 2014, right this way, please.

Actress, model and regular Wimbledon attendee, Sienna Miller, had all eyes firmly fixed upon her in 2015, due to her minimalist Galvin jumpsuit.

The figure-hugging white all-in-one boasted immaculate tailoring and corset detailing.  Paired with some wedges and über cool sunnies, Miller is the definition of “if you got it, flaunt it”.

Emilia Clarke - 2017

Effortlessly chic in these gorgeous silk florals for the 2017 Men’s Singles Final - Emilia Clarke certainly stood out against all that classic white.

With neck-tie detailing and paired with a set of simple black suede sandles, the Game of Thrones actress held her own next to the suavely dressed David Tennant. She even brought out some classic square shades later in the day. Queen of courtside-style 2017.

Alexa Chung - 2017

Whenever the words ‘style’ and ‘event’ are mentioned, it is inevitable that Alexa Chung’s name shall pop up somewhere.

In 2017, Chung made a big splash in a Ralph Lauren pinstripe suit, accessorised with a pink straw handbag and a gloriously-clashing polka-dot tie.

A double-breasted blazer and flared trouser combination is always a winner in our books, especially when it is Chung serving it up.
