Did you know that more than 90 percent of visible facial ageing is caused by the sun's ultraviolet rays? Well, thanks to the Skin Cancer Foundation's research, you do now. And most of us are pretty aware that we need more than a floppy hat and sunnies to protect those UV rays - you should also try and include a broad spectrum suncream with SPF 20 to 50. What with the sudden heatwave that has appeared in the UK, I've been on the hunt for the best SPF products to protect my skin, without leaving it feeling greasy. Get summer-ready with these safety conscious products: 1) It's Cosmetic's 'Your Skin But Better CC Cream' £30 Most SPF products makeup products have a strange smell and sticky texture; however, It Cosmetics have hit the nail on the head here. This CC Cream is not only loaded with SPF 50 (yay!) but it the perfect coverage for this weather. Not too heavy and will keep you looking as fresh as a daisy. 2) La Roche-Posay's 'Anthelios Ultra-Light Sun Cream Fluid SPF 50+' £16.50 I am a huge fan of this brand and a great fan of this suncream, too. The light formula makes for a lovely base before applying foundation (which should also include an SPF), and the mineral water formula makes for a dewy look! 3) CeraVe's 'Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF25' £12 This is great for normal and/or dry skin. It is fragrance-free, will hydrate your skin as well as protecting it. It is a great product to incorporate into your everyday skincare regime. 4) Glossier's 'Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen' £20 This is one of my favourites! The water-gel formula means that this product is absorbed by the skin almost instantly, so there is no sticky residue. It also smells great and doesn't feel thick on the surface of the skin. This is another product that is great for using before applying foundation. 5) Kiehl's 'Ultra Light Daily UV Defense' £38 This is another high protection facial cream that is suitable for all skin types. It is oil-free and a great broad protection sunscreen to protect against wrinkles and signs of ageing. P.S. It's fragrance-free and paraben-free, too! It is never too late to start incorporating SPF into your routine. So, if you aren't already doing so, give it a go now!
