Summer is fast approaching and that means so is the season of weddings, prom, end of term balls and graduation. Stuck for style inspiration? Look no further than your favourite Disney princesses.

American brand Glitterati has released a whole prom collection inspired by the princesses entitled 'Disney Enchanted Forever', and here in the UK many brands are also injecting some fairytale magic into their dresses.

Here are our top picks of budget-friendly princess inspired looks:

Belle

Thanks to the live action remake and the beautiful Emma Watson, Belle is the princess everyone is talking about this year. Channel her look in the famous dance scene with a yellow dress - fabrics to look out for are tulle and luxurious satins to really nail her look.

Cinderella

Cinderella is often the princess of choice for A-listers seeking red carpet inspiration. Think Claire Danes in that iconic light up Met Gala dress last year, or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan just last week at Cannes film festival. Be a modern Cinderella by playing around with cuts and silhouettes, but light and powder blues are a must for this look.

Aurora

In Sleeping Beauty,  the two fairies argue about the colour of the princesses dress. Although she wears both pink and blue in the film, her most famous and memorable look is her pink dress and Aurora's fuschia dress couldn't be more on trend for SS17. Look out for floor length dresses and those with interesting sleeve detail.

(Left Pleated Maxi Dress, £32 and Fluted Sleeved Dress, £48, both ASOS)

Tiana

Tiana is one of Disney's newest princesses. The titular character from The Princess and the Frog's colour of choice is green, and she looks ethereal in the ball gown she wears in the film. Channel her look with muted green tones, perfect for the summer season.

Snow White

Snow White's red and yellow complete with cape ensemble isn't the easiest to pull off in everyday life, so instead, take inspiration from the true star of the fairytale... the poison apple. Opt for romantic reds which are perfect for evening events.
