We are now midway through the January transfer window but there are still some big names that could be on the move this month. The National Student have picked five superstars that could still move before Jim White famously announces the end of transfer deadline day on January 31st. 5) LEON GORETZKA (Schalke) Linked clubs: Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal The Confederations Cup winner is a talented central midfield player in Germany and importantly has just six months left on his contract. If a team signs him in this window, he will be cheaper than his true worth; he would be a welcome addition
for any top club around the world. Bayern Munich are the front-runners, but a Premier League club could yet swoop in.
4) MESUT OZIL (Arsenal)
Linked Clubs: Manchester United, Juventus
Another German midfield player with six months left on his contract, Ozil is another footballer who will be undervalued in this window. There is no doubting his quality on the ball and his amazing passing ability; he would be a great asset for somebody like Manchester United, who are lacking a world class number 10.
3) RIYAD MAHREZ (Leicester)
Linked Clubs: Liverpool, Arsenal, Roma
The Algerian trickster has been a key player for Leicester over the last few seasons and has been widely seen as a potential replacement for Phillipe Coutinho or Alexis Sanchez at Liverpool and Arsenal respectively. He was also subject to bids from Roma in the summer, will they come in for him again?
2) THOMAS LEMAR (Monaco)
Linked Clubs: Liverpool, Arsenal
The young, pacey French winger was somewhat surprisingly kept by Monaco in the summer after they let a number of their other star players go. He was subject to a £92 million bid from Arsenal on deadline day and was Arsenal's ideal candidate to replace Alexis Sanchez as a move to Manchester City gathered pace.
1) ALEXIS SANCHEZ (Arsenal)
Linked Clubs: Manchester City, Manchester United
Arsenal's talisman has only six months left on his contract and would be an absolute bargain for any team to sign in this window. Manchester City have remained favourites given his relationship with Pep Guardiola, but Manchester United have come in late with a reported bigger bid, and possibly Henrik Mkhitaryan in exchange. What should Arsenal do, cash in now or potentially lose him for free this summer?
