Student photographers from across the country are invited to enter the annual EIZO Awards.

Launched by leading manufacturer of LCD monitors, EIZO, the photography competition is in its third year.

The 2019 awards will have three winners, and the top prize is an exclusive placement with a world-renowned photographer as well as an EIZO ColorEdge computer monitor.

Marketing manager for EIZO, Hayley Osborne, says, “As a company we are committed to supporting young photographers.

“Our award aims to give students the opportunity to challenge themselves and allow them to show the world what they see through the lens, whilst getting studio experience with some of the world's leading photographers and imagemakers.”

This year’s judges are all UK-based professional photographers, including Nick Ballón, Catherine Hyland and Benedict Redgrove.

EIZO 2017 winner - Annabel Lake

One of the winners of the 2017-18 awards, Annabel Lake, said, “Entering the EIZO Award allowed me to work on a live brief and direct my own project, something that will be crucial in my development as a professional.

“My entry commemorated one year of the passing of my grandad, who would have been married to my grandma for 60 years, so creating something to celebrate the love they shared was really special to me.”

She says, “Sometimes keeping it simple is best to let your passion come through.”
