BookTube is the YouTube community that posts videos about anything book related.
It is a book blog in the form of vlogs. It is the go-to place to find out about new releases, books that are being hyped and find out about how to get involved with read-a-thons.
The content posted by BookTubers tends to be one of the following:
Book Haul/Un-Haul videos
These are videos showing everyone the new books they have purchased (and plan to read at some point), in the case of an Un-Haul these are the books they are getting rid of. Book Haul videos are always highly popular by viewers as they can show you the new books that are on the market or coming out soon if that BookTube has an advanced reader copy. TBR and Wrap Up’s The next most common: TBR stands for To Be Read and these videos tend to be monthly and showcase the books that person plans of getting through that month. At the end of the month these are followed up with a wrap up video where you get to see which of the books they actually read. Reviews and discussion From series discussions to book recommendations, the main part of BookTube is to talk about books and discuss them with other fellow bookworms. Bookshelf Tours These are the most requested videos of all time on BookTube - especailly if viewers have seen it in previous videos. Bookshelf tours can last up to 30 minutes once edited and updated bookshelf tour videos are contstantly requested by subscribers. But who makes these videos? As YouTube is a self-published content provider anybody can make BookTube videos but there are a few people who are well-known throughout the community. Kat from Katytastic
